Cleardrive invites the citizens of Copenhagen to help design Copenhagen’s new city car, which maybe is a taxi without a driver, or a city car that works the same was as a city bike. Come and participate in shaping a whole new form of transportation in Copenhagen, and join in the lottery to win a trip in a Tesla Roadster.
Visitors will be able to purchase delicious, organic and climate-friendly food and drinks from Skuespilhuset throughout the day.
Veksø will be showing Big Belly, their new solar cell-powered rubbish bin which harnesses the sun’s energy to automatically compress waste directly at source, and so increase its capacity by 4-8 times.
Electric car operator, ChoosEV, will present three of the latest electric cars on the market which visitors will be able to test drive, as well as explaining about their new products and sustainable solutions.
Cleardrive is a supplier of green hybrid electric cars. Two of them will be present, and visitors will have a chance to take a drive. As well as this, Cleardrive will present one of their all-new projects and visitors will have a chance to enter a competition in which the prize is an electric car on a test loan.
Electric car operator, Better Place, will present four examples of Renault’s latest electric car, the Renault Fluence Z.E., with test drives. Visitors will have a chance to try the cars and hear more about Better Place’s sustainable solutions and products.
See models of the new, illuminated bike racks which will be installed at Copenhagen’s busiest station.
Give it some gas on an electric bike and feel the eternal tailwind on a 200 metre, one-way track. Try a range of electric bicycles and electric-powered cargo bikes from Christiania Bikes and YikeBike.
Feel the power of the wind on a free sailing trip out to Middelgrunden Fort and hear more about the role wind turbines will play in Copenhagen’s future.
See the green, sustainable energy production system of the future displayed on a major map of Copenhagen. Take a trip through Copenhagen 2025 to help you decide whether to buy shares in a wind turbine, install solar panels or drive an electric or hydrogen car. Read more at www.kk.dk/klima.
Come and see Copenhagen Council’s electric and hydrogen vehicles and discover how the transport budget is spent in the daily operation and maintenance of the city.
Take the whole family on the bike play-track offering everything from flips and jumps to zig-zag paths and waves to challenge both beginners and more experienced cycle kids. Bikes, scooters and helmets will be available to borrow. The track is fenced in.
Experiment with sustainable energy sources in the science centre and experience the possibilities for future energy sources. Build a solar cell together with your family, test your own wind turbine, try an electric car, or make your own pancake using just solar power.
Over the next few years hundreds of wind turbines will be erected. Some of them will be in Copenhagen, and Copenhageners will have the chance to make an attractive investment and become co-owner of the city’s wind turbines. Sign up for your share in the future of sustainable energy at Copenhagen Energy’s wind exhibition and hear more about wind power plans in the city.
Green vision is a professionally-run student organisation in which engaged and enterprising university students from DTU and CBS work together to inspire and create interest in green and sustainable technology among the young. Solar Intelligence is an intelligent solar cell which follows the sun’s rays. A demonstration will show how solar energy can be stored in the form of hydrogen. During the course of the day it will also be possible to see the solar cells turning after the sun in order to optimise their effectivity.
The project will be augmented by an electric go-cart which will be recharged via the solar cells, plus it will be possible to take a test drive.
Green Vision will present the AeroCar and its background together with a screening of a video from the world championships for wind-powered cars, where it was the winning vehicle. Different types of prototype wings will also be on show. Visitors will be able to sit in the AeroCar and perhaps even take a trip in it, conditions permitting.
Meetusers of solar panels and hear them talk about their experiences with solar cells. You will also be able to witness intelligent solar panels in action – which turn to seek the sun’s position in the sky.
See Kirt Thomsen’s fascinating designs for an airship to be used for transporting wind turbine blades. By transporting the massive blades and components with the help of wind power, KNARR Cargo Airship solves the problems of delays and closed roads and gives new possibilities for the design of wind turbines.
EVA Park is a landscaped park for recreation and learning about sustainable energy. Have your say on how EVA Park should be used. Major drawing competition for children and other imaginative souls.
Tesla Motors exhibits its radical, electric sports car, the Tesla Roadster. This modern electric sports car, which has a top speed of 200km/h, a range of 370km in urban driving, and accelerates to 100km/h in 4 seconds, has been the subject of a great deal of media coverage.
Come and see the third generation of hydrogen car, a Hyundai ix35 FCEV, and hear more about hydrogen cars, fuel cell technology and the creation of a network of hydrogen stations in Denmark.
Anholt off shore wind farm is going to consist of 111 wind turbines and will be supplying electricity to 400,000 households. At our exhibition you can climb aboard an A2SEA installation ship, SEA ENERGY, which carries wind turbine blades, towers and housings. At the 100 meter long ship, you can closely watch a 58-meter wind turbine blade from a 3.6MW wind turbine which will be put to sea off the coast of Anholt. Come and visit our exhibition where you can read and see much more about how we erect Denmark’s largest offshore wind farm.
